A best English pair of 16 gauge side by side sidelock ejectors with easy openers by James Purdey & Sons made in 1893 presented in their original makers canvas double case. With 29″ barrels and weighing in at 6lbs/gun these fast, move-able guns feel alive in the hands. Exquisitely finished as is expected of a maker of this calibre displaying classic English scroll engraving and well figured straight-hand stocks finished with an attractive and comfortable 1/2″ leather recoil pad. This true pair of guns have lots of history available on request and there is even the option to own a trio as gun no. #14275 advertised on our site was also built for the original owner in 1892 and altered to be ‘number 3’ gun and is numbered accordingly.
